Mayor Frank Jackson announce up to 400 Cleveland employees will be laid off because of state budget cuts to city funding.

The city of Cleveland will layoff hundreds of employees to fill the budget gap left by Governor John Kasich cutting a fund local governments have relied on since the Great Depression.

As WKSU’s Kevin Niedermier reports…Mayor Frank Jackson says the state cuts have unfairly targeted large cities…leading to layoffs and service cuts the city had been able to avoid…..
