Two weeks before Election Day, 800,000 Ohioans have already cast ballots. About 189,000 of them have gone to county boards of elections to vote early in person, and another nearly 619,000 have voted by mail.
Nearly 8 million Ohioans are registered to vote. And hundreds of thousands of them have requested absentee ballots by mail, but have not yet sent them in.
This week also began expanded in-person early voting hours, with all 88 county boards of elections open from 8 a.m. through 7 p.m. Under federal court order, the boards are also now going to be open on the weekend before Election Day.
The hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, and Monday, Nov. 5, and 1 to 5 p.m. that Sunday, Nov. 4. |
