Ohio parts may be in wind turbines like the ones at Bowling Green, but the state has no turbine manufacturers. Backers of a plan to apply for federal money to build a wind turbine testing facility hope to attract some major manufacturers to build assembly plants in Northeast Ohio

Lorain County has joined the Great Lakes Energy Development Task Force to compete for federal funds to build a wind turbine testing facility in Northeast Ohio.
