Ohio State Police Officer Receives Medal Of Valor At White House Ceremony

President Trump presented the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor to Ohio State Police officer Alan Horujko at a White House ceremony Wednesday afternoon, in honor of his actions stopping an attack at the university in November 2016.

FBI says Cleveland Man Planned July 4 Terror Attack

The FBI announced Monday the arrest of a Maple Heights man who was allegedly attempting to assist Al Qaeda. Law enforcement officials say 48-year-old Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts, also known as Abdur Raheem Rafeeq, was planning to target downtown Cleveland over the July 4th holiday.

U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman says in addition to calling for violence on Facebook, Pitts planned to target various locations in downtown Cleveland and walked around last week to map them out.

Ohio Gov. and GOP presidential contender John Kasich is calling on President Obama to leave Cuba in light of the terrorism this morning in Brussels, Belgium. 

Kasich told Fox News the terrorism in Brussels underscores why the U.S. needs a leader with his qualities and a strong background in foreign affairs.

More than 30 people are dead and more than 200 wounded after explosions struck Brussels during the Tuesday morning rush hour, Belgian officials say. Two blasts hit the international airport; another struck a metro station. Belgium has issued a Level 4 alert, denoting "serious and imminent attack."
