The Cleveland Cavaliers had their first opening round playoff loss in eight years on Sunday, as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 98-80.

By halftime, the Cavs trailed the Pacers 55-38, and the Barley House in downtown Akron took on a funeral atmosphere. The Cavs narrowed the gap to seven by the end of the third, but ultimately came up short.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the 2016 NBA Champs after beating the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Game 7. WKSU’s Kabir Bhatia was at LeBron James’ alma mater in Akron for the game.

The St. Vincent-St. Mary pep band greeted about 500 fans as they filed into sweltering LeBron James Arena to watch Game 7 in Oakland. The fans were tense, but primed for the Cavs to do battle with Steph Curry and the Warriors.
