It was a year of discoveries in local music, as bands who had been dormant for several years returned with new albums. WKSU's Amanda Rabinowitz and contributor Brittany Nader picked their favorite music of 2019.

Cleveland indie rock band Niights has spent three years perfecting the follow-up to its debut album. Lead singer and guitarist Jenna Fournier says they decided to release 'Hellebores' in two parts -- half dream pop, half metal.

A group of female-fronted bands in Cleveland is coming together for a cause. The second annual Women Rock CLE concert at the House of Blues next month was organized by the roots rock band AJ & The Woods, fronted by musican Alison Tomin.
