National Park, Ohio EPA to discuss options for removing Brecksville dam
Removal would make boating safer, improve fish habitat

This dam at State Route 82 east of Brecksville was built to divert water from the Cuyahoga River into the Ohio & Erie Canal. The National Park and the Ohio EPA are looking at ways to remmove all or part of the dam and still keep water in the canal

The Cuyahoga Valley National Park will ask for public input later this month on whether to remove or modify a dam that diverts water to a section of the Ohio & Erie Canal.
