Make your legacy about trustworthy journalism
Play a vital role in the future of quality public radio when you include WKSU in your estate plans. Designate WKSU as beneficiary in your will, trust, or financial accounts; specify a one-time gift, or a minimum $25,000 endowed fund that keeps on giving for generations to come. You will truly be giving the gift of public radio to our community in perpetuity.
To learn how you can leverage a planned gift that helps you and WKSU, visit the WKSU hub on Center for Gift and Estate Planning website. Or, please contact Natalie Pillsbury at 330-672-9160 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A service of Kent State University, WKSU partners with the Kent State University Foundation and Kent State’s Center for Gift and Estate Planning. As a legacy donor to WKSU, you become a part of the Herrick Society of planned gift donors – an exclusive group that is invited to special events throughout the year. The Herrick Society acknowledges planned gift donors whose support benefits WKSU’s future, as well as other areas of the university. Please know that your bequest to WKSU will be designated entirely to the station. Donor intent is of the utmost importance to WKSU and the Kent State Foundation.
You may wish to explore the following planned gift ideas, some of which offer immediate tax savings, lifetime income, reduced capital gains taxes, and reduced estate taxes:
- Gift through your will or trust
- Charitable Gift Annuities
- Charitable Trusts
- Life Estates
Such gifts can be funded with cash, appreciated securities, individual sheltered retirement assets, real estate, and others.
If you have already included WKSU in your estate plans, please let us know by calling Natalie or filling out our Estate Intention Letter. This is not intended as tax or legal advice. For assistance in specific cases, please contact your professional advisor.
