It was on this date in 1920 that The New York Times published on the editorial page that Robert H. Goddard had The Smithsonian Institution hoodwinked in thinking that rockets could fly. Goddard would later successfully prove his design correct with a successful launch in 1926. And it was on this date in 1928 that RCA and GE installed the first TVs in three Schenectady, NY homes.
