The Boeing B & W seaplane.
The B & W was the first airplane released by Boeing. It was named after designers William Boeing and U.S. Navy Lt. Conrad Westervelt.

It was on this date in 1916 that the Boeing Aircraft Company was incorporated. And it was on this date in 1983 that airline travelers around the globe were shaken when a bomb exploded in a suitcase at a ticket counter check-in area of the Orly Airport in Paris. The explosion killed eight people and injured 55.
