Charleston dancing lessons being given to basketball players of the Palace Club circa 1926. The club was Washington, D.C.'s entry in the American Basketball League.

It was on this date in 1923 that a dance craze started where dancers competed for cash prizes. The craze faded away in the late 1930's as the economy improved. And it was on this date in 1932 that the Ford V8 engine debuted.
