Opera singer Enrico Caruso drew this sketch in 1902 to commemorate his first audio recordings for RCA Victor. He was one of the first classical vocalists to use the gramophone.

It was on this date in 1916 that Italian singer Enrico Caruso recorded one of his greatest hits, "O Sole Mio." And it was on this date in 1919 that Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, and D.W. Griffith founded United Artists as a joint venture company.
