Christine Lavin is a lot of fun, and has a ton of energy. When we talked to her about being on Ornaments she knew immediately what she
wanted us to have. This story was performed last holiday season in Chicago for WFMT and Rich Warren. But they never had the opportunity to air it. Well, it certainly fit our show, and we tip our hat in thanks to Rich. That touch of tasteful piano at the end was played by John Forster.
Christine didn't stop at just getting herself on the show. Pretty soon such talented folks as Julie Gold and David Massengill were e-mailing us and saying, "Christine Lavin gave me information about your show and I'd like to submit something." A producer's dream!
Christine is an advocate for good music and up and coming artists. In addition to all her talent and charisma, she rallies people and gives a lot of others the chance to step up to the plate. It's no surprise that she helped us out. Remember it was Christine who sent Julie Gold's "From A Distance" to Nanci Griffith. And the rest, as they
say...
