Coventry Carol - Pete Huttlinger

If you were ever lucky enough to attend one of the late John Denver's concerts you would have seen Pete Huttlinger too. Pete played lead guitar, banjo, and mandolin on Denver's recordings and during concerts. Huttlinger is also the Tennessee state guitar champ, and last year's national finger style guitar champion...all this from a guy who recovered from heart surgery just weeks before the contests.

Accolades, however, don't define Pete. He says "yes" to every request to perform at a charitable cause; he is eager to help any guitar student; and is ready to accept any challenge. In fact, he was one of the first to turn in his "Ornaments" homework assignment; his completely original recording of "Coventry Carol," embellished with strings, was in our hands by June.

A sought after session musician in Nashville, Pete prefers the chance to pursue purely artistic opportunities, as you'll witness with his contribution to the program.
