"Beautiful Star of Bethlehem", by Boyce & Pace
Recorded by Dennis Jones at WNCW, Spindale, North Carolina |

Rhonda and her band were excited about being on Ornaments. When they came through our area, they scheduled a special trip in to our studios to record for us...And then got sick. All of them, from what we hear. Our hearts went out to them, but we certainly understood. It's hard enough to play a concert when you're under the weather, but record? No way. We thought we might have lost her for Ornaments.
But a few weeks later, in came the e-mail announcing a new recording venue. Our friends at WNCW lined up the time and Dennis Jones headed up the session. It sounds like The Rage had a good time there, and this beautiful new version of "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" was a wonderful addition to our show.
By the way, Rhonda Vincent is the woman Alison Krauss credits with being her inspiration. And Rhonda played in an all star ensemble at MerleFest with Claire Lynch, Alison Brown, Laurie Lewis and Missy Raines. |
