Bill Lestock, slide guitar & Vicki Chew, vocals
Bill and Vicki like to give their songs a unique sound, one that reflects who they are. Vicki is an Ornaments alumnus already, having been a guest singer with HillBilly Idol on our 1999 show. When we asked them to do a song for us this year, they picked "Little Town" and then went about arranging it this way: Bill sat in one room playing with chord structures and rhythms on his slide guitar, and Vicki went in a different room and worked on bending and shaping the vocal style. Then they got back together and worked it out.

Bill: "I've always loved the melody of the song. Just trying to find a way to do it a little bit differently was the idea."

Vicki: "The song is what it is; it's kind of sleepy, people are asleep while this great event is going on. I used to sing it in church. It's a beautiful song, and it's not all hype. I don't like a lot of Christmas tunes that are all hype. 'Silent Night' is more of what I like."
