David Holt - Christmastime Blues WKSU Home
David Holt brought the blues to WKSU, and we loved it. He recorded this with Joe Gunderman in the soon to be famous Studio C, where the rest of the recordings from our home also came from. David played National Steel and sang.

David's credits are too long to sum up here. Forget it. I quit. Well, let me just go ahead and mention that this Grammy Award winner is the host of NPR's "Riverwalk: Classic Jazz From The Landing," from San Antonio. He plays more than ten instruments. He collects and has recorded a ton of early American folk music. He's recorded with everybody, including Doc Watson a few times. He shows up regularly on "Hee Haw," Nashville Now," and "The Grand Ole Opry." His newest recording, "Spiders in the Hairdo: Modern Urban Legends" has just been nominated for a Grammy Award for 1999 in the Adult Spoken Word Category. And despite all that, we had a lot of fun laying down some acoustic blues for Christmas. - Joe Gunderman
