Kids who are home-schooled don’t often get the chance to perform in a school play. But some home-schoolers in Kent have been producing their own shows for more than a decade. With the help of a few adults, they write the plays, design the sets, and perform. This weekend, they open an original halloween play, a slapstick comedy, called “Frankula.” Supported by Standing Rock Cultural Arts and artwork for “Frankula” by Vince Packard, who will be displaying some pieces from the play at his Day of the Dead art show at the North Water Street Gallery starting October 25.
