Bedford judge suspended pending criminal case against him
Jacob is accused of bribery, promoting prostitution
by WKSU's M.L. SCHULTZE

In The Region:

Bedford Municipal Court begins the week with just one of its two judges able to hear cases.

That’s because the Ohio Supreme Court has suspended Judge Harry Jacob III following his indictment last week on charges of bribery, promoting prostitution and soliciting.

In disqualifying Jacob, the state high court noted that it’s rules forbid someone from acting as a judge while they’re under indictment for a felony. The order says Jacob is to remain off the bench while the charges are pending or “until further order of this court.”
