In The Region: The main job of Ohio’s auditor has been to make sure that government agencies are not misspending their taxpayer dollars.
These days, though, there’s a new responsibility -- suggesting ways that government agencies can be more efficient and save taxpayer dollars.
That’s called a performance audit, and one on the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has just been released.
