Government Thursday, December 13, 2012 New poll looks at gay marriage, marijuana legalization If election were held today, both measures would narrowly lose in Ohio by WKSU's STATEHOUSE CORRESPONDENT JO INGLES |
 Reporter Jo Ingles | | |
In The Region: A new poll shows Ohio voters are not ready right now to legalize marijuana or allow gay marriage. Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports. |
| Just last week, a Quinnpiac University National poll showed support for legalizing marijuana by a margin of 51 to 44 percent. But a new Quinnipiac University Poll of Ohioans shows the issue is tied here in the Buckeye state at 47 percent. The poll shows men narrowly favor legalizing marijuana while women narrowly oppose it. And when it comes to gay marriage, the same poll shows 45 percent favor allowing it while 47 percent don’t. But on this issue, women are slightly more likely to favor allowing gay marriage while men are slightly more likely to reject it. |
