GE has production facilities in Cleveland and Cincinnati. The other announced tenant, the Cleveland Clinic, will use the Medical Mart to showcase its medical innovations. Medical Mart officials say they’re negotiating with potential tenants, and expect at least 40 tenants to be in place at next summer’s opening. The Medical Mart is designed to work with Cleveland’s new convention center and attract medical conventions. Similar medical equipment showrooms planned for Nashville, Tennessee and New York City have been scrapped.
