Vice President Joe Biden campaigned today for President Barack Obama’s re-election, and in a way, the rally for the two Democrats was in the heart of what you might call “enemy” territory. Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen reports on Biden’s speech in Marion.
ABRIDGED VERSION Vice President Joe Biden campaigned today in Marion for the re-election of President Obama and himself. Biden portrayed Republican challenger Mitt Romney as a rich man who doesn’t understand average middle-class people. The Vice president charged that Romney’s proposal for a continued federal income tax cut for wealthy people would be a bonanza for them.
Biden said if Romney and his fellow Republicans enacted a continued income tax cut for the rich, it would force either massive government spending cuts, or a tax hike on the middle class. The vice president spoke at Marion Harding High School whose sports team are called --- the presidents.
