Ohio’s top judge says the courts are becoming more efficient these days, out of financial necessity. In her annual state-of-the-judiciary speech, Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor has told hundreds of her fellow judges that they need to continue considering more cost-saving measures. She cites Marion County, where some child custody cases are being steered to an alternative dispute resolution process.
