Ohio Tuesday, September 11, 2012 Gov. Kasich pays respects to 9/11 victims Kasich talks about how the children of 9/11 victims will have to live with the tragedy Story by MICHAEL LOCKLEAR |

| Gov. John Kasich paid his respects to the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks this morning.
He spent several minutes in silence in the middle of the nearly 3-thousand American flags that dot the Statehouse lawn.
Each represents a life lost eleven years ago.
Kasich briefly spoke to the media, saying he thought about the children who lost parents in the attacks. |
“25 years from now, one of those young girls is gonna get married. She’s gonna meet somebody and get married and say ‘How was your father?’ ‘Well, he was in that tower, and he didn’t make it out.’ It’s sad.”
The governor also mentioned the spouses left behind and expressed his gratitude to the first responders. |
