Politics Sunday, August 12, 2012 Adding Ryan to Romney isn't swaying some voters Rep. Ryan is either icing on the cake for Romney voters, or a non-issue for Obama voters by WKSU's KABIR BHATIA |

In The Region: Mitt Romney heads to Ohio Tuesday, making his first major campaign appearance since picking running mate Paul Ryan. But for some Northeast Ohioans, the vice-presidential nominee won't sway their vote either way. Romney's choice of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan surprised many in the swing state who thought the nod would go to Senator Rob Portman. Ryan is a favorite of conservatives for his tough talk about tax cuts and fiscal discipline. But for some voters in Hudson and Stow, the news won’t change their vote in November. |
Romney will spend Tuesday afternoon in the southern part of the state, visiting American Energy Corporation, Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl and a victory rally. But the Democratic National Committee will be countering with what it's calling "The Middle Class Under the Bus” tour in Columbus, highlighting Romney's economic record. |
