Politics Friday, August 10, 2012 State Rep. Clayton Luckie takes his name off reelection ballot Luckie is under investigation for possible criminal activity by WKSU's STATEHOUSE CORRESPONDENT JO INGLES |
 Reporter Jo Ingles | | |
| A Democratic incumbent state representative has withdrawn his name from the upcoming November ballot. Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles has details. |
The state representative for the 39th district, Representative Clayton Luckie, has withdrawn his name for reelection. The 39th district is in the Dayton Area so the Montgomery County Democratic Party will now have to select a replacement for Luckie. And Monday is the deadline for doing that. Two former state legislators from the Dayton area are among those who are likely being considered for the job. Luckie is under investigation for something other than bribery but it’s not clear, at this point, what, if any, wrongdoing he might have committed. In a written statement earlier this week, Luckie says his staff is researching some errors made on reports. |
