In The Region: The Cuyahoga County Fair has cancelled all swine-related events out of caution against flu cases in other areas of the state.
Tim Fowler is president of the county fair board. He says the board talked with veterinarians before deciding to keep the pigs away. |
On Monday, one case of the flu was connected to the Ohio State Fair, which sent home two pigs with the flu last week.
The Ohio Department of Health reported at least 14 human cases of swine flu tied to the Butler County Fair. The virus can be passed between pigs and humans. |
