Clarification: The University of Cincinnati has set similar overload fees for 2012-13 schools year that, in some cases, are higher than Kent's. But the two fees have key differences.
Next year, Kent State’s overload fee will be $440 per credit hour for any hours a student takes above 17. The fee applies only to students who are taking at least some of their classes at the main campus in Kent; those taking classes exclusively at regional campuses are exempt.
Next year, The University of Cincinnati’s overload fee will be $450 for any hours above 18 taken by students on the main campus. The university charges lesser fees for its Clermont ($218) and Blue Ash ($246) campuses.
