Ohio Thursday, January 6, 2011 Kasich names three new appointees Two served under Strickland by WKSU's STATEHOUSE CORRESPONDENT JO INGLES |
 Reporter Jo Ingles | | |
Ohio Governor John Kasich says he’ll keep two of the people who’ve been serving in Governor Strickland’s administration. The head of the Department of Developmental Disabilities is staying. And Kasich wants Tracy Plouck the state’s Medicaid director under Strickland, to now lead the Department of Mental Health.
Kasich wants Owen Hall to be the new director of the state’s Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services. He’s the current director of the Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Board. Kasich says the three agencies are not ripe for cuts. But he says he hopes the leaders of these agencies will work together to operate more efficiently.
Kasich would not rule out some consolidation between these three agencies. |
