Canton's historic Timken Stables a no sale
Northeast Ohio building draws lots of attention but no bids
by WKSU's M.L. SCHULTZE

Media and public interest did not translate into bidders for the horse-stable-turned-restaurant
The owner wanted more than $800,000. The buyer offered less than a quarter of that. And the auction of one of Northeast Ohio's most distinctive structures was a "no sale" Thursday. Some see it as a broader commentary on the beleaguered state of commercial real estate throughout the region.
