I had Vontage and moved to a new location where it was not cost worthy to use vonage and I called to cancel their service in Oct 2009, they did not cancel and I called again in Nov, and again in Dec, 2009 they were supose to cancel but were still takeing the fees out of my account. I called again in Jan 2010 they said my acount was not closed still. they said they would close it and i would not have any more charges from them. my account was yet hit with another $39.99 fee.
Never Ever do business with Vonage and never let them draft any money out of your accounts because they keep robbing you if you ever let them in.

I switched to Vonage June 2008 my phone number was 9013441060, after a week i still could not make any calls. After i call the customer service dept. i was told that i had to have high speed internet with another company in order for me to use their service. I tried to cancelled the service however they would not let me and for a whole year they took money out of my account until i finally close that account. i never used the phone service from my home. an they would not cancelled my service. I had Vonage service a couple of months and my phone would go dead with static.I contacted thier tech. ser.with no help I bought new phones and this didn't help I finally had to cancell the ser. in which they took $139.00 Plus they wouldn't take the modem back.
They didn't ask me if my computer was strong enough to carry this ser.which it wasn't. The tec.help even hungup on me at one time because I couldn't understand her accent.

I had Vonage service for a year. The contract was supposed to end on 08/28/08 and i cancelled on 08/24/08 but they still charge me the monthly charges for August plus the early cancellation fee almost $90.00.Where I sign in for Vonage they did not swhitch me on time from my previously carrier and I was paing for 2 months both bills. Was a very very bad experience.
Plus they told me to returned the modem and they will give me a refund on that and I did returned and payed the charge for mailing back $12.50 and they did not refund me the $48 back for the modem.
