Politics Tuesday, November 03, 2009 Voters in Cleveland, surrounding Cuyahoga are opting for overhaul 10:05 p.m. by WKSU's M.L. SCHULTZE |
 News Director M.L. Schultze | | |
| Cuyahoga County voters are overwhelmingly supporting a complete overhaul of county government.
With about a quarter of the results counted, voters are supporting by a 2-1 margin a proposal to replace most of the county's elected office-holders with an elected county executive and an 11-member council.
A competing proposal supported by the current county commissioners also is on the ballot. It calls for a charter commission to study change in county government. And it is getting trounced. |
