Reconnect fees will rise by 80%

State regulators have allowed gas and electric utilities to increase the price they charge to reconnect service - by 80 percent. That's a fee that hit more than 347-thousand Ohioans last year. Utilities are defending the increase, but critics say it's coming at the wrong time for people who are already suffering. Statehouse correspondent Karen Kasler reports.
