A new play that opened this weekend at Kent State looks at the aftermath of electro-shock experiments used to treat homosexualty in a group of 14 young men at Brigham Young University. The play, called '14', was written by visiting director John Cameron, one of the subjects in the 1970's experiment.
Cameron says that writing '14' helped him recover from treatment for a condition that he maintains cannot be 'cured'.
