Government Monday, October 05, 2009 Ohio party chairs recognize divisions within both parties Both party heads trying to unify party, while appealing to independent voters for important 2010 races by WKSU's STATEHOUSE BUREAU CHIEF KAREN KASLER |

| The passion and the fury that pulsated through town hall meetings this summer showed some serious rifts between Democrats and Republicans. But observers note there are some serious divisions within the supporters of both political parties - with conservative protesters holding "tea parties" blasting government spending and liberal activists campaigning for climate change legislation and health care reform. Ohio Republican Party chair Kevin Dewine and Ohio Democratic Party chair Chris Redfern sat down to talk about that. |
