Ohio fuel cell industry poised for growth despite federal research cuts

Over the past seven years, Ohio has poured nearly 80-million dollars into fuel cell research. Now U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Stephen Chu is cutting 100-million dollars in federal funding for automotive fuel cells from next year's budget. But that doesn't concern many Ohio officials and researchers. They say Ohio's future in fuel cells lies in other applications, some of which are almost ready for market. |
