Ohio now has 34 confirmed cases of H1N1 virus. The average age of Ohioans infected with the disease is 20 years old. Ohio health officials are focusing their efforts on people who are in hospitals. Agency spokesman Kristopher Weiss says there are specific conditions under which people are being tested for the illness.
"People who show up at a physician's office who have a fever of more than a hundred or a cough or sore throat, and then they have had contact within the past week with either a confirmed or probable case or had contact with a cluster of influenza-like illness or they have been hospitalized or they have been hospitalized for when they were sick," Weiss said.
