Cuyahoga County corruption probe
follows long history of vice
Current probe could be nation's biggest
WKSU's Kevin Niedermier reports
|
|
In the 1930s, crime fighter Elliot Ness came to Cleveland to clean up government corruption. Today, the F.B.I. is still trying to finish the job. An ongoing Cuyahoga County corruption probe began with alleged kickbacks to county officials Jimmy Dimora and Frank Russo.
Now it stretches to more than a dozen other public institutions and office holders as far south as Canton. The F.B.I. says the investigation could become the agency's biggest corruption case ever. From WKSU's Cleveland studios...Kevin Niedermier looks at the public corruption history the current case is up against.
