This week's $25 million in state cuts to Ohio's public colleges and universities are gentler and more selective than many feared. But they're also a start, not a finish.

Ohio Chancellor Eric Fingerhut released a list today identifying 25 million dollars in higher eduction budget cuts from now through July 1.
But Fingerhut underscored that the budget preserves nearly 2 billion dollars in direct state aid to college instruction.
