University of Akron adds Confucius Institute
Chinese officials visit Akron for the opening

The Chinese government is investing in higher education in the state of Ohio. The University of Akron will host a pair of professors in a government sponsored exchange program. Ohio's third Confucius Institute teaches Chinese language and culture, and may help strengthen trade ties.
