| Americans have cut back their use of oil remarkably since gasoline prices hit four dollars a gallon. Earlier this month, a spokesman for Ford said the shift in purchases from trucks and SUV's to smaller cars is ''totally unprecedented and faster than anything we've ever seen.''
WKSU commentator Paul Gaston suggests another shift " toward public transportation. He says the switch is not only good for your wallet, it's good for your mind.
