Cleveland's mayor wants more
efficiency in city departments

The City of Cleveland is looking at a new wave of cost cutting to keep the city out of the red. Today, Mayor Frank Jackson outlined a plan that includes more energy efficiencies, fewer hirings, and less overtime.

A "new" wave of cost cutting. Why? Would it not be better to increase revenue to the city by raising taxes? That way we don't have to cut programs that people are entitled to, and deserve.The rich can afford to pay their fair share of the burden, let them get out their checkbooks and make it easier on the rest of us.
