OSU president criticizes disconnect between athletics and academics

Some Ohio State University sports fans may be a little nervous with former President Gordon Gee back at the helm. Gee drew national attention for doing away with Vanderbilt University's athletic department to ensure athletes focused on academics. During a visit to Akron Thursday to tout higher education, Gee says he has no plans to halt Ohio State's athletic program, but he is pushing for reform in collegiate sports.
