Pros and Cons of New Coal Plant

Seventy-five cities, towns and villages around Ohio that supply electricity to their residents are deciding whether buy a share of a new coal-fired power plant to be built on the Ohio River. Backers say the plant will be the cleanest in the state and provide reliable power at an affordable price. But critics fear future regulation of carbon emissions could make the investment an expensive albatross.
