UAW Strike Could Hurt Ohio Auto Suppliers

Businesses throughout Ohio are hoping the nationwide strike by the United Auto Workers against General Motors won't be a long one. As Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles reports, a long strike could have far reaching implications for thousands of people and businesses in the Buckeye state.

Even the best outcome of these negotiations won't fix the big problem. People who live in mud huts will work for whatever they are offered, but they won't buy a car. We can't buy one either if we don't have a job. Quit importing foreign goods which can be produced in this country and stop sending our jobs overseas. If we continue to do business in the current manner we will all be in mud huts.
