Akron Federal Building Named for John F. Sieberling
Colleagues Recall Long and Distinguished Career

Former Congressman John F. Seiberling was honored today by a ceremonial re-naming of the Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Akron as the John F. Seiberling Building. The 89-year old scion of the Seiberling Family, which founded the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is 1898, achieved his own fame as a lawyer and member of Congress. Three serving Congressmen, a state senator and a federal judge were among the dignitaries at today's festivities.
