Lake Erie Wind Farm Project Gets Go Ahead from Commissioners, State

| A renewable energy task force in Cleveland today recommended that Cuyahoga County commissioners go ahead with a project to create the world's first freshwater wind farm on Lake Erie. In a ceremony at the Great Lakes Science Center, county commissioners, the head of the Cleveland Foundation and the state of Ohio promised substantial financial support. The goal is to not only create a new source of clean electricity, but to develop Northeast Ohio as a global center for wind power research and development. |
