Government Thursday, January 4, 2007 Cuyahoga County Loan Fraud Indictments
by WKSU's KEVIN NIEDERMIER |
 Reporter Kevin Niedermier | | |
| Expect more indictments of predatory lenders in Cuyahoga County in the next few weeks. These charges will be added to the list of 70 people indicted during the last two days under a stepped-up enforcement program. The alleged schemes involve properties in Cleveland, East Cleveland, Garfield Heights, Brook Park, Solon and Pepper Pike. The cooperative effort between the County Prosecutor, Commissioners and municipal police departments began over a year ago. It's a response to the skyrocketing number of home foreclosures in Cuyahoga County. |
