Deer hunting season opens next week and for the first time Ohio wildlife officials are asking hunters to keep their rifles ready for a new animal. Populations of wild boar and feral pigs are on the increase, particularly in the southeastern part of the state. Officials say the animals can do a lot of damage to wildlife habitats and to farms.
